What leaves your Mac: nothing.

The app

• No telemetry. No usage statistics, no counters, no machine identifier.
• No account. Nothing to create, nothing to connect.
• Your videos stay with you. All processing is local. Nothing is ever uploaded.
• Two network calls, and nothing else. The update check asks our own domain, over HTTPS, and it can be switched off in the settings. If you accept an update, the file itself is downloaded from GitHub, which hosts our releases: GitHub then sees your IP address, like any server you download something from. No machine profile travels with those calls — not your Mac model, not your macOS version, not your language: the option that would attach them is off, and it stays off. Nothing else leaves your Mac.
• The tip button simply opens your browser on an external page. The app never contacts the payment platform.

This site

• One caveat, and only if you say yes: Google Analytics audience measurement, to learn where visitors come from and what interests them — and improve the pages accordingly. Until you agree, nothing is loaded from Google and no cookie is set.
• Set up as discreetly as it gets. No advertising signals, no linking to a Google account. The measurement cookies (_ga) expire after 13 months, you're asked again every 6 months, and you can change your mind at any time from the foot of every page. The data is processed by Google, which may store it outside the European Union.
• No other third-party domain. Not even for typefaces: the site uses the one from your system. Without your consent, everything your browser requests comes from this server, and from it alone.
• The server logs incoming requests, as any web server does, to keep working properly.
